International College Students’ Entrepreneurship 

Invitational Competition 



       The biennial China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition was launched in 1999. Over the past years, it has evolved into the largest and most influential college students’ entrepreneurship competition in China.  In order to diversify international exchanges, competition and cooperation in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship, enhance international integration and development in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship education, promote the transfer of international innovation technology and the connection of overseas venture projects, an international invitational competition is specially set up to attract the participation of international elite universities and outstanding youths. 

        As a partner of the competition, Ichi Foundation has recruited 8 excellent teams from Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Poland and Belarus to Zhe Jiang University for the on-site final competition.

       The 2018 China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Invitational Competition was held on 19th, October in Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. There are 38 projects reached the final, including 24 overseas projects and 14 domestic projects. Eventually, 8 projects that stood out were publicly defended. Meanwhile, gold and silver medals were awarded on that day.

       Mr. Thore Vestby, Chairman of Ichi Foundation, was one of the judges of this competition. On the morning of 19th, each team was divided into group A and group B for competition, and relatively excellent teams were selected for public defense in the afternoon. Each team displayed their creativity to the surprise of the audience.


       On the afternoon of 19th, the final was contested with public defense. However, the eight teams brought creative ideas from all over the world to the finals, making the audience feel the charm of "technology changes life". Eventually, the "StepBeats-Run to Make Music with AI lyrics" project from Zhejiang University has He won the first place, together with the second and third received the gold medal, while the other five teams have won the silver prize.


       After the match, the champion and several teams members have been interviewed by Mr. Thore Vestby. The member which has won the first place expressed his gratitude and joy, and denoted that young people should try more interesting things.

The team from overseas thought it was a wonderful experience to come to China, and they have gained a lot here, including creative ideas, friendly friends, excellent games etc.
