This forum was initiated and sponsored by Europe-China 2018 Youth Leaders Forum Foundation,Pécs municipal government and University of Pécs. Under the background of advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative, the youth leaders, representatives of governments, entrepreneurs and representatives of universities from both China and Hungary discussed several topics on economic and trade,and also on new chances for their cooporation.In order to break through bottleneck of related issues, they serve as a linkage between politics and business so as to give some suggestions as a reference to the exchange and cooperation between this two countries.
This forum lasted for 3 days,the theme of which was "the Belt and Road Initiative". This forum includes the Belt and Road Youth-Leaders Dialogue, Central and Eastern Europe-China Higher Education Forum, Europe-China Politicians and Entrepreneurs Forum, M16+1 session, and CHALK.The Hungarian Cultural Minister Dr. Peter Hoppal, the Mayor of Pécs Pava Zsolt,the President of Pécs University Joseph Baudis, the Secretary General of The Chahar Institute Zhang Guobin, and the representative of the enterprise, the representatives of the universities, etc.have attended this forum.More than 130 participants from Hungary, China, Russia, the United Kingdom,the Republic of Korea, Slovenia, Italy and other countries have conducted in-depth exchanges. Many students are from famous universities, such as University of Oxford, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, etc.
In the closing banquet, Mr. Vestby made a speech to thank for the organizer of this forum. He highly appreciated the delegates’ positive attitude, and was impressed by the Chinese youth. He thought that this forum served as a good platform for exchanging. Even though the forum ended, the participants struck up a good friendship. They believe that all parties in the future will continue to work hard in their respective areas, respond the Belt and Road Initiative positively, and make their contributions to the international communication in the future.
